hey… and um… sorry

hey… and um… sorry

Hey, So one of the worst things you can do as an email marketer, is to let your list go cold. If you mail every couple of days, then suddenly disappear for a month, that’s not good.  You can expect response-rates to plummet. Well I’m guilty of doing just that. I’m sorry it’s been so ridiculously long since I last reached out… what can I say?  Things have just been crazy. But crazy in a good way. So in a nutshell here’s what I’ve been up to; My focus has been on getting the new Sunset Del Mar Resort in Costa Rica ready. It’s come a LONG way.  If you check the pictures on that website, most of them don’t do the current state of it justice. Our swimming pool now has marble all around it.  Our new lobby is almost ready to open to the public.  All 23 rooms are looking great.  And now I’m getting a quote from a major construction company to build another 25 rooms before the end of this year (we’re going to need a much bigger resort to keep up with all the mastermind events we’re doing). Besides that, I’ve flown to and from Fiji in the last few weeks to work on acquiring an island (it still makes me chuckle to actually say that – just 8 years ago, I was pushing lawn mowers!!) The island is 48 acres, and it’s just incredible.  I’ve been there about 6 times now, and every time I go there I just think how surreal the place is. My plans are to build a big 200 room resort there over...
When everything is falling apart…

When everything is falling apart…

Hey, For the past few days I’ve been here in Costa Rica with some of the top affiliates in my company – people who’ve made a minimum of 6 figures online.  Some of them have made 7 figures (3.7m for one guy, 2.5m for another, and a third has made over 17m with me since starting back in 2013!). Each morning we’re masterminding and sharing what’s working in our business’s – and then in the afternoons heading out for fun activities. Like yesterday we went on ATVs (these 4 wheeler motorbikes) through a jungle, and today we’re going on a sunset cruise. But these sessions we’re doing in the morning are incredible.  I’m always a student first, so I too am getting a lot of good ideas. One of the most powerful things you can do for your business is find other business owners who are operating at about the same level as you are, and some who are a few steps ahead, and mastermind with them. As entrepreneurs we tend to get stuck in a rut from time to time.  We become fixated on whatever is currently working, and sometimes even overly dependent on those things. So at least every 90 days it’s a good idea to get out of the office and go and meet fellow business owners for new ideas and knowledge. By the way, all these training sessions we are doing each morning are being recorded. If you want to get a copy of the recordings, keep an eye out for my emails.  I’ll let you know how once they are all edited. What’s interesting...
The Future…

The Future…

Hey, I think it’s been like 7 days since I sent you a live email broadcast – waaay too long.  I have no excuse, other than to say things have been insanely busy here. The first thing that’s been happening, is the acquisition of a brand new office for MOBE head quarters. See the big building in the middle of this picture? Well, it’s about 44 stories high, in a really good central location in downtown Kuala Lumpur (which has been my main base since 2014). At the top of that building is a 6,000 square foot office, which MOBE will be moving into in about 4 months. We are already in the building, but, the company is spread out over 5 different offices on different levels (I’m on the 12th floor right now writing this to you). So it will be good to have the entire team in the one office, just so we can communicate easier. Right now the entire 44th floor we’re moving into is empty and unfurnished. So I’ve been meeting with designers and getting mock-ups on different layouts.  I want to create a really cool, modern office that people actually want to go to.  Not the traditional corporate cubicles so many big company’s have. MOBE is going to be on one side of the floor, and then the other (which you see in this photo) will be turned into shared office space I’ll rent out to start-ups. We’ll also use this space to create our first ‘education center,’ complete with a seminar room, where business owners can come in and get training. The training...

How to avoid getting ripped off when buying Solo Ads (Training Video)

Hey, I think you’re going to get a lot of value out today’s video lesson. It’s all about getting more traffic to your website. More specifically, about using solo ads to get more traffic. If you’ve ever tried using solo ads before, I’d be willing to bet money you’ve had some bad experiences. Some solo ad seller told you how great his list was… maybe even showed you some screenshots of previous clients backoffice stats, and how many sales they’d got. So you paid them a couple hundred bucks (or in some cases, a few thousand) and they sent out the email. You got lots of clicks.  Maybe even lots of leads. And now, weeks / months later, you still haven’t seen a penny come back from that solo ad investment. But not a single sale. I just got back from our Titanium Mastermind in Pattaya, Thailand (that’s what the photo is of), and I must have met at least 20 people there who’d bought solo ads and got poor results with them. The temptation is to blame the person who sold you the solo ad. And in some cases, you have a legitimate case to blame them. More often though, it’s the marketers’ follow up that is the problem.  It’s their skills at converting that need to be improved. And if you have got a list now yet haven’t been able to make sales, don’t despair.  That’s quite fixable, if you’re willing to make your emails more engaging, put together some irresistible offers, and engage the hyper responsive people 1-on-1 to close some sales. Here’s a video recording...
